“We’ll Vote All of You Out" Gen Zs Tells off & Chase Gachagua from ‘Tuko Kadi’ Campaign

DCP Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua has come under criticism after attempting to associate himself with the Gen Z-led voter registration drive.

Gachagua recently adopted the “Tuko Kadi” slogan, a move that was quickly rejected by those behind the youth-driven initiative.

Youth activist Benjamin Nzioka strongly rebuked the former Deputy President, accusing him of insincerity.

He urged Gachagua to stop exploiting a movement that was created to challenge the very political class he represents.

“Toka hapa! Uko kadi na nani? You old politicians are the reason we started this movement in the first place! You're the reason we are registering as voters, so that we vote all of you out! Don't pretend to care about us now. Find your own slogans!” Nzioka said.

At the same time, Allans Ademba, the originator of the slogan and a leading voice in the movement, expressed surprise at what he termed as the political class’s attempt to hijack a citizen-led initiative.

Ademba emphasized that the “Tuko Kadi” campaign was founded to encourage independent civic participation among young people, not to advance political interests. He criticized leaders for trying to capitalize on the movement’s popularity for their own gain.
