“He Died Painfully” Sorrow as Postmortem Finaly Reveals What Caused St. Cecilia Deputy Principal’s Death

Shock and sorrow have gripped the education sector following the sudden death of Caleb Wekesa, the deputy principal of St. Cecilia Misikhu Girls Secondary School, whose body was discovered at a hotel shortly after attending a school event.

Fresh reports indicate that a postmortem examination has now established the cause of his death, helping to clear some of the speculation that had spread online after news of the tragedy emerged.

According to reports, Wekesa attended a school function before later checking into a hotel alongside a woman. Moments later, he reportedly developed serious health complications and died unexpectedly, prompting investigations by authorities.

The incident has left colleagues, students, and residents in deep mourning, with many describing him as a committed teacher who dedicated his life to education and mentoring learners.

Following the autopsy findings, officials from the Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) urged teachers and other professionals to prioritise regular medical check-ups and better stress management, noting that many people ignore warning signs linked to their health due to work pressure.

The tragedy has also reignited conversations around mental health, lifestyle illnesses, and the growing pressure faced by professionals in Kenya.

Authorities have confirmed that investigations are still ongoing, although no criminal activity has officially been linked to the death so far.

As family, friends, and students continue to mourn the respected educator, Kenyans online have called for sensitivity and respect toward the grieving family, urging the public to avoid spreading unverified claims.
