Pastor Victor Kanyari has sparked online reactions after revealing that his daughter, Sky Victor, allegedly earns up to KSh500,000 every month through content creation.
Speaking during a midweek church service on Wednesday, May 27, the Salvation Healing Ministry founder praised his daughter’s creativity and business mindset, saying she has successfully turned social media content into a profitable career.
According to Kanyari, Sky Victor mainly creates relatable online videos focused on cooking, lifestyle, and everyday home activities that continue attracting large audiences across digital platforms.
The preacher humorously disclosed that despite being her father, Sky prefers keeping all the money she earns in her personal account and rarely shares any of it with him.
Kanyari jokingly narrated that in some videos, he is actually the one who cooks meals such as ugali before Sky later appears to record content with the finished food, leaving fans convinced she prepared everything herself.
“She is very smart and understands how social media works,” Kanyari said while describing his daughter as a sharp Nairobi girl who knows how to capture online attention.
His remarks quickly sparked debate online, with many Kenyans expressing surprise at the amount young content creators are now making through platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
Others praised Sky Victor for embracing digital opportunities and building a successful personal brand at a young age.
The revelation has once again highlighted the rapid growth of Kenya’s content creation industry, where ordinary daily activities such as cooking, storytelling, comedy, and lifestyle videos are increasingly becoming major sources of income for young people.
As digital audiences continue expanding across the country, more Kenyan creators are now transforming social media influence into full-time careers and lucrative business ventures.
