Top leaders allied to the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) are expected to tour Nakuru County in a major political mobilisation drive linked to preparations for the 2027 General Election.
The high-profile delegation is set to include Susan Kihika, Oscar Sudi, Farouk Kibet, Isaac Ruto, Nelson Koech, and Tabitha Karanja among other Kenya Kwanza leaders.
According to organisers, the leaders are expected to attend the Kuresoi South Youth Empowerment Fund Drive, where they will serve as chief guests during the event.
The leaders are also expected to launch and inspect several development-related activities while engaging residents in public rallies and political meetings across the county.
Sources close to the organisers say the tour is part of broader grassroots mobilisation efforts aimed at strengthening support for President William Ruto and promoting the “Tutam” political campaigns associated with his expected 2027 re-election bid.
The Nakuru visit comes at a time when political temperatures are gradually rising across the country, with both government allies and opposition figures intensifying engagements at the grassroots level.
Political observers believe the tour could also be aimed at consolidating support within the Rift Valley region amid growing political competition and shifting alliances ahead of the next election cycle.
The planned engagements are expected to focus on youth empowerment, development projects, economic programmes, and the government’s broader political agenda.
Meanwhile, leaders allied to the opposition, including former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, continue to ramp up their own political activities as the race toward 2027 slowly begins taking shape.
