  2. Says current blockade in the Strait of Hormuz will remain until agreement is signed
  3. U.S. officials reportedly close to a framework deal to end hostilities and restart nuclear talks
  4. Operation “Project Freedom” paused temporarily to allow diplomatic negotiations
  5. Tensions remain high despite claims that a ceasefire is still holding

United States President Donald Trump has issued a fresh warning to Iran, signaling the possibility of intensified military action if ongoing peace negotiations collapse.

In a strongly worded statement shared on Truth Social, Trump said Iran must agree to the terms currently under discussion or face renewed bombing at a “much higher level and intensity” than previous strikes.

The remarks come at a critical moment, with reports indicating that Washington and Tehran are edging closer to a preliminary agreement. The proposed deal, described as a short memorandum, is expected to lay the groundwork for ending the conflict and reopening negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program.

According to sources familiar with the talks, discussions are being handled through a mix of direct engagement and international mediation. Key figures involved include U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff, alongside senior diplomatic channels linked to Trump’s inner circle.

Trump also referenced the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global oil route. He stated that the ongoing blockade would only be lifted once Iran complies with agreed conditions, allowing safe passage for all vessels, including Iranian ships.

The warning follows a recent decision by the U.S. to pause “Project Freedom,” a military-backed operation aimed at escorting ships through the strait amid rising tensions. The move, Trump said, was influenced by requests from allied nations seeking to give diplomacy a chance.

Despite recent exchanges of fire between U.S. and Iranian forces, top American officials maintain that a fragile ceasefire is still in place. However, Trump’s latest comments suggest the situation remains volatile, with the threat of escalation still firmly on the table.

As negotiations continue, global attention is fixed on whether diplomacy can prevail or if the region could slide back into intensified conflict.
