Here is What Police Recovered From Chris Mulwa That Allegedly Belonged to Dr. Victoria Mutiso
Police are investigating Chris Mulwa in connection with the murder of Dr Victoria Mutiso. Court documents show that Rose Mbithe Mulwa, Chris's mother, was previously married to Professor David Ndetei, Dr Mutiso's husband. Rose and Professor Ndetei divorced in 2001 and have four children together, including Chris.
Detectives are seeking a 30-day detention for Rose and Chris to continue their investigation into Dr Mutiso's death. The investigators informed the court that Dr Mutiso had reported two incidents before she was killed.
The first incident occurred on July 7 near Junction Mall, where two men on a motorcycle allegedly tried to shoot her, but she escaped uninjured and reported it to Kilimani Police Station.
According to an affidavit, Dr Mutiso told police and her husband, Professor Ndetei, that she recognized Chris Mulwa as the passenger on the motorcycle during that incident.
Dr Mutiso also made another report on July 27, stating that she noticed men on a motorcycle following her as she drove from home to work.
Forensic tests are still being conducted, and the alleged shooter and the motorcycle rider are still at large. Investigators believe they need more time to complete the investigation before deciding on legal actions.
Lawyers Danstan Omari, Shadrack Wambui, and Cliff Ombeta are opposing the request to keep Rose and Chris in custody.
