Drama as Alikiba Faces Teargas for the First Time at Nairobi Concert, Details

Tanzanian singer Alikiba shared his dramatic experience of being exposed to teargas for the first time during his concert at Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi yesterday.
The singer was performing to a lively crowd when chaos broke out near the venue, prompting police to disperse rowdy individuals.

According to Alikiba, the incident occurred unexpectedly and momentarily disrupted his performance. Speaking after the event, he expressed shock but assured fans that he was unharmed. "It was my first time experiencing teargas. It’s not something I’ll ever forget," he said.

The singer praised his fans for their resilience, noting that the majority stayed calm and continued to enjoy the show despite the commotion. "Nairobi fans are incredible. They made the night memorable regardless of the challenges," he added.

Local authorities later confirmed that the teargas was used to control a group attempting to gain unauthorized entry into the venue. The situation was swiftly handled, allowing the concert to proceed smoothly.

Alikiba, known for his hits like Aje and Mwana, promised to return to Nairobi for future performances. "Every artist dreams of connecting with such a passionate audience," he said, ending on a positive note.
