Lady Aharibu Mali Airbnb Akidhani Nyumba ni ya Lover wake wa Naija, Aomba Radhi Kwa Airbnb Baada ya Kufanya Uharibifu wa Mamilioni

A dramatic incident unfolded in Nairobi when a woman destroyed an Airbnb property in the mistaken belief it belonged to a Nigerian man who allegedly refused to pay her after an overnight escapade. The man reportedly left while she was asleep, leading to her anger-fueled rampage.

The woman, whose identity remains undisclosed, was said to have spent the night with the man after agreeing on financial terms for their time together. However, when she woke up to find him gone, she assumed the luxurious Airbnb apartment belonged to him. In a fit of rage, she allegedly smashed furniture, electronics, and glass fittings in the house.

The damage to the property was later estimated at Ksh 2 million, leaving the real owner—a Kenyan host—devastated. The host revealed that the apartment was listed on a popular booking platform and had no connection to the Nigerian man. “I was shocked when I arrived and found my property in ruins,” the owner lamented.

The police were called to the scene, and the woman was taken into custody. According to sources, she admitted to destroying the property, claiming she felt cheated and humiliated. Unfortunately for her, this misunderstanding has now spiraled into a legal nightmare.

The host is demanding compensation for the damages, and authorities have emphasized the seriousness of the matter. “We are pursuing this case to ensure justice is served,” said a police spokesperson.

The incident has sparked conversations on social media, with many expressing sympathy for the Airbnb host while criticizing the woman's actions. Some have also highlighted the need for stricter verification and agreements in such arrangements to prevent future misunderstandings.

As investigations continue, the woman faces charges of malicious damage to property and could be ordered to pay the full Ksh 2 million if found guilty.
