In a new development, police have confirmed that Ibrahim Mwiti, whose death earlier sparked speculation about abduction, was actually killed in a hit-and-run accident.
The authorities issued a statement clarifying the circumstances surrounding his tragic demise, dispelling rumors that had been circulating within the community.

Mwiti, a well-known figure in the area, was found lifeless on the side of the road last week, prompting concerns from locals who believed he may have been kidnapped before being murdered.

The police investigation, however, revealed that his injuries were consistent with being struck by a vehicle. The driver responsible for the incident fled the scene, leaving Mwiti to succumb to his injuries.

The authorities have launched a manhunt to track down the driver involved in the fatal accident, urging anyone with information to come forward.
They also reiterated the importance of public cooperation in solving the case, emphasizing that such crimes can be difficult to solve without the help of witnesses or community members.

While the initial confusion regarding the cause of death caused widespread panic, the police's findings aim to clear up misconceptions and focus attention on finding the perpetrator. Authorities have expressed their condolences to Mwiti’s family and vowed to ensure justice is served.

This case has raised concerns about road safety and the alarming frequency of hit-and-run accidents in the area.
Local leaders are calling for stricter measures to hold reckless drivers accountable and to prevent similar tragedies from occurring in the future.

As the investigation continues, the community remains in shock, mourning the loss of Mwiti, whose death has now been confirmed as a result of a senseless act of negligence on the road.
