Murang’a County detectives are investigating a shocking murder case involving a 53-year-old woman whose body was delivered to Kangari Police Station disguised as a parcel.
The victim, identified by relatives as Hannah Wanjiku, a mother of six, was reportedly killed under mysterious circumstances.
According to Kigumo Sub-county Police Commander Hassan Bashir, four suspects have been arrested in connection with the crime.
They include Wanjiku’s estranged husband, two of her sons, and the taxi driver who delivered the body. The police are currently trying to establish whether the taxi driver acted on instructions from the husband or the sons.
“The suspects are assisting with investigations, and we are looking into all angles, including potential motives and prior conflicts,” said Commander Bashir.
The shocking manner in which the woman’s body was transported has left the community in disbelief. Relatives and neighbors expressed their sorrow, describing Hannah as a loving mother who had lived a peaceful life.
Police have confirmed that postmortem results will provide crucial details on the cause of death, while forensic analysis may help determine how the murder was executed.
