A grieving family is demanding justice following the mysterious death of 28-year-old Krystabel Anyango, whose body was reportedly discovered inside a saloon car days after she was allegedly assaulted by her boyfriend.
Krystabel, popularly known as Bella, worked as a Patient Coordinator at Jacaranda Maternity and had reportedly endured a troubled relationship marked by repeated violence and emotional abuse.
- Krystabel Anyango was found dead under mysterious circumstances.
- Her family claims she suffered repeated abuse from her boyfriend.
- A postmortem reportedly showed blunt force trauma to the head.
- The suspect allegedly disappeared after being released from police custody.
- The family is now demanding justice and a full investigation.
According to her mother, Julian Aketch, Bella had been in an on-and-off relationship with a man identified as Henry. The family claims the relationship was frequently interrupted by violent incidents and mistreatment.
Her mother alleged that after the couple reunited in 2024, Bella became isolated and suffered neglect even when she fell seriously ill while staying at Henry’s house. It was during a hospital visit that the family reportedly discovered she was pregnant.
Aketch further claimed that her daughter was confined, mistreated, denied food, and physically abused during the relationship. Concerned for her safety, the mother travelled to Nairobi and took Bella back to Kakamega, where she later gave birth.
According to the family, Henry allegedly failed to support Bella during childbirth and while raising the child, forcing relatives to cover hospital expenses and other needs.
The situation reportedly took another turn when Henry’s parents allegedly contacted Bella seeking forgiveness on behalf of their son and asking her to reconcile with him.
Bella later returned to Nairobi to continue with work and her life, but reportedly continued complaining about violence and drunken behavior from Henry. Her mother claimed that at one point, the man even shared a disturbing image showing Bella injured and lying on the floor.
On April 30, the family received a message from Henry claiming Bella had collapsed and had been rushed to hospital. However, the following day, relatives were informed by someone identifying himself as a police officer that Bella had died.
Shockingly, her sister later reportedly discovered the body inside a saloon car instead of the hospital where the family had been directed.
A postmortem conducted on May 4 allegedly revealed that Bella suffered blunt force trauma to the head, swollen eyes, and multiple injuries consistent with assault.
The family now claims the main suspect was released from custody at Mlolongo Police Station before disappearing, raising fresh concerns over the handling of the case.
Relatives are now urging authorities to intensify investigations and ensure those responsible are held accountable as calls for justice continue growing online.
