Gachagua Alleges What NIS & DCI Officers Confided in Him on Saturday About Dr Mutiso's Murder
While speaking to faithfuls at a church service on Sunday 9th, August 2026, at Kiambaa, Kiambu county, former Deputy President of the republic of Kenya Hon Rigathi Gachagua made fresh disturbing claims regarding the murder of Dr Victoria Nthunya Mutiso, the former health and mental director who was killed on 29, July 2026.
During his speech, Rigathi Gachagua alleged what two officers, one working under the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) unit and the other one serving in the National Intelligence Service (NIS) confided in him, about the controversial murder that been making headlines since the first day it was announced to the members of public.
As per his remarks, on the evening of Saturday, 8th August, the two officers looked for him and informed him that that there was an ongoing plan by top influential government officers, to cover up for the police officers who were connected to the murder so that the officers could evade facing the law.
Gachagua told the congregants that the plan was to pin all the blame on a motorist who blocked Mutiso's taxi using a Prado and the boda boda rider, that they were the ones who were seriously involved in the planning and killing of the veteran clinical psychiatrist That ill plan would ensure the two carried the cross on behalf of the police suspects connected to the murder.
Gachagua then added that after pinning the blame on the two men, the police officers would then face a lesser punishment before being released from custody.
In a rather controversial fashion, Rigathi Gachagua also added that despite reports indicating that the police officers arrested over the murder are in custody, the officers were already released shortly after being arrested.
As per his revelation, after two officers were arrested by the DCI officers, Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen made a phonecall with the arresting officers before directing them to set the two police officers free.
