Education Ministry Announces 15-20% Salary Increase and 10,000 Teacher Recruitment in April.

The Education Ministry has announced a 15-20% salary increase for Teachers Service Commission (TSC) employees, alongside plans to recruit 10,000 teachers in April.

This move is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to address teacher shortages and improve the welfare of education staff across the country.

The salary increment is seen as a significant step in recognizing the hard work and dedication of teachers, many of whom have long demanded better compensation.

The increase is expected to boost morale within the teaching profession, especially as teachers continue to face challenges such as overcrowded classrooms and increasing workloads.

In addition to the salary hike, the government’s decision to recruit 10,000 new teachers is aimed at easing the pressure on existing staff and ensuring that schools have sufficient resources to provide quality education.

The recruitment drive is set to provide much-needed opportunities for unemployed graduates, particularly those who have been awaiting employment for years.

However, the dilemma lies in whether the government can afford these commitments amidst a strained national budget. While the salary increase and recruitment are crucial, there are concerns about the long-term sustainability of such measures, particularly if the economy faces unforeseen challenges in the future.
