Linda Mwananchi Leaders Join Oburu's At Joint ODM Senate And Parliament Meeting
A new political shift emerged at the Parliament Buildings in Nairobi during the Joint Parliamentary Group meeting of the Orange Democratic Movement Senators and Members of the National Assembly.
Two key members of the Linda Mwananchi team, Senator Godfrey Osotsi and Saboti MP Caleb Amisi, attended the meeting and openly aligned themselves with the Oburu-led Linda Ground battalion. Their presence sent a clear signal of changing political dynamics within the party.
Linda Mwananchi is a faction led by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna. The group has in recent months positioned itself as a voice of reform and internal accountability within ODM. However, at this crucial meeting, Sifuna was absent.
Also missing was Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, another strong voice within the party who has often stood firm on internal debates.
The meeting brought together lawmakers from both the Senate and the National Assembly to deliberate on party strategy and the current political direction. It was expected to solidify unity, but the attendance list painted a picture of silent rivalry.
Osotsi and Amisi sitting with the Oburu team raised eyebrows among party insiders. The Linda Ground battalion, associated with Siaya Senator Oburu Oginga, has been working to strengthen grassroots mobilization and consolidate support ahead of future political contests.
