"It Hurts Deeply" Baby Top's Friend Peter Kinyita Emotional Breaks Silence After Losing Son in Drowning
Peter Kinyita, the Gatundu South Constituency Development Fund (CDF) chairperson, has broken his silence after the tragic death of his two-year-old son, who reportedly drowned in a swimming pool.
The heartbreaking incident has left family members, friends, and supporters in mourning. According to reports, the child was the son of Peter Kinyita and his wife, Mercy Wanjiru. Kameme FM presenter Muthoni wa Kirumba, popularly known as Baby Top, was reportedly present when the tragedy occurred.
In his first public reaction since the loss, Kinyita shared a brief but emotional message on Facebook, posting a broken-heart and crying emoji that reflected the family's deep grief.
Baby Top also paid tribute to the child and offered words of comfort to the bereaved parents. Sharing a video accompanied by a Bible message from Psalms 35:1-3, she expressed her support for Kinyita and his wife during the difficult period.
The presenter had recently been absent from her radio show, prompting concern among fans. Her co-host, Chef Gathemba, later explained that she had taken time off after the devastating loss suffered by her close friends.
As condolences continued to pour in, influencer Peter Mwangi urged Kenyans to avoid politicizing the tragedy. He described Kinyita as a humble and respectful leader and appealed to the public to give the grieving family the space and privacy they need to heal.
Mwangi also noted that Kinyita's wife is expecting another child, making the loss even more painful for the family. He extended his condolences to Peter and Mercy Kinyita, their relatives, and close friends, including Baby Top and G.G. wa Kagombe.
Many Kenyans have taken to social media to comfort the family, offering prayers, messages of encouragement, and words of sympathy. Supporters have wished the family strength and peace as they come to terms with the loss of their young son.
