Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has made explosive allegations following the fatal shooting of Dr. Victoria Nthunya Mutiso-Ndetei, claiming that "killer goons" and police officers were involved in the murders of both Dr. Mutiso and lawyer Kyallo Mbobu.
He further alleged that senior police officials were attempting to cover up the incidents.
The allegations come as detectives continue investigations into the killing of Dr. Mutiso, who was shot dead in Nairobi on Wednesday morning while travelling in a taxi.
According to investigators, the murder is being linked to a long-running family property and succession dispute involving her husband, Professor David Ndetei Musyimi.
Detectives have arrested Prof. Ndetei's former wife, Rose Mbithe Mulwa, and her son, Chris Mulwa, as they investigate their alleged connection to the killing.
The arrests form part of ongoing investigations, and no court has determined their culpability.
Investigators are also examining possible links between Dr. Mutiso's murder and the killing of lawyer Kyallo Mbobu, who was shot dead along Magadi Road near Ongata Rongai last year.
