“Kiakili Wameshindwa, Sasa Ni Vita” – Sifuna Speaks After Chaos Rocks His Rally Plans

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has claimed there are deliberate attempts to disrupt his political rallies across the country.

Speaking on Monday, March 2, 2026, Sifuna alleged that whenever the “Linda Mwananchi” team announces plans to visit certain counties, unusual mobilization begins even before they arrive.

According to him, the preparations are not aimed at welcoming them but at frustrating their meetings.

Sifuna said that in places such as Kakamega County, groups were already assembled ahead of their visit.

He claimed the crowds were hostile and appeared organized to create chaos during their events.

The outspoken senator described the incidents as politically motivated attempts to silence him and his team.

“Kiakili wameshindwa, sasa ni vita,” Sifuna declared, suggesting that his opponents had run out of ideas and were now resorting to intimidation.

He alleged that some of the gatherings are being turned into “traps” where disorder is deliberately engineered.

According to Sifuna, the goal is to make it appear as though the opposition team is unwelcome or unpopular among local residents.

He argued that such tactics are designed to slow down the growing momentum of the Linda Mwananchi movement.

Sifuna maintained that their mission is to engage directly with wananchi and address the challenges facing ordinary Kenyans.

He insisted that no amount of disruption would deter them from reaching the grassroots.

The senator further claimed that political rivals fear the rising support the movement is attracting ahead of the 2027 General Election.

He warned that attempts to intimidate leaders or block public meetings undermine democratic freedoms guaranteed under the Constitution.

Sifuna also called on security agencies to remain neutral and ensure that all leaders are protected equally, regardless of political affiliation.

He emphasized that peaceful political engagement should not be criminalized or sabotaged.

The remarks have sparked debate online, with supporters backing his claims while critics argue that political tensions are common during competitive seasons.

Political analysts say the accusations could heighten tensions as alignments begin to take shape before 2027.

For now, Sifuna says the Linda Mwananchi team will continue with its planned tours despite the alleged obstacles.

He insisted that the movement’s focus remains on mobilizing citizens and offering what he describes as an alternative vision for the country’s leadership.
