Lawyers Reveal Name of Angela Mulwa's Father & The Number of Years She Has Served as an Advocate

Angela Mwula, the daughter of Rose Mbithe Mulwa, and Nelson Masiga were arraigned before the Mavoko Court in Athi River on Monday, August 3, 2026, following their arrest on Sunday.

The arrests stemmed from investigations into a case reported at Mlolongo Police Station on May 4, 2026.

According to investigators, the late Dr. Victoria Mutiso had reported that her property was stolen and destroyed during an eviction carried out on February 12, 2026.

One of the vehicles reported stolen was later recovered at the home of Angela Mwula and Nelson Masiga, prompting their arrest.

Appearing before Principal Magistrate Lilian Nyabando, lawyer Danstan Omari said Angela Mwula is the daughter of Professor David Musyimi Ndetei, whose wife filed the complaint in the matter.

Omari maintained that finding one of the disputed vehicles at Angela's residence was not sufficient evidence to conclude that she had committed a criminal offence. He therefore requested that she be released on bond.

Lawyer Cliff Ombeta countered by stating that the eviction was carried out lawfully under court orders and in the presence of police officers.

He also argued that the disputed land belonged to Rose Mbithe Mulwa, who remains in custody, rather than Dr. Mutiso or Professor David Ndetei.

He further told the court that Angela Mwula is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with 26 years of professional experience.

Following the arguments presented by both sides, Principal Magistrate Lilian Nyabando directed that Angela Mwula and Nelson Masiga remain in custody until the court delivers its ruling on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
