Number of Years Rose Mulwa Was Married to Prof Ndetei & Children They Had Before Their Bitter Divorce
A news article by the Daily Nation media group on Saturday, 1st, August 2026, that looked into Rose Mbithe Mulwa’s background disclosed to the public the number of years that she was married to her ex-husband Professor David Musyimi Ndetei, and the number of children that they had together, before their bitter divorce.
According to the publication, Rose Mbithe Mulwa who was arrested on Thursday together with her son Chris Mulwa over the untimely murder of Dr Victoria Nthunya Mutiso, was married to David Ndetei for thirty one (31) years. Together, they had four children including Chris Mulwa.
The publication also revealed that the pair formally started their divorce proceedings in 2002 before it was affirmed by the court in 2005, after which Rose Mbithe Ndetei changed her name to Rose Mbithe Mulwa.
After the court approved their divorce, things took a dramatic turn when Rose Mbithe launched a complain in court, seeking to have an equal share of the property they owned together with David Ndetei before they separated. The properties included an estate worth millions of shillings.

As of now, Rose Mbithe Mulwa is in lawful custody after being linked to the murder of Dr Victoria Nthunya Mutiso, a matter that officers strongly believe was triggered by property ownership dispute which has for many years remained unresolved.
Rose and her son are set to yet again appear at the Milimani law court on Monday 3rd, August 2025, when they will know their fate on whether they will be detained for 30 more days.
